I had a great time staying at this luxurious 4-star hotel! The location was perfect, right near the river in the best place in town - the central park. The surrounding area was so picturesque and relaxing, creating a calm and laid-back vibe. The hotel itself had a charming and old-timey atmosphere, with its castle-like exterior and cozy rooms. The high ceilings and spaciousness of the rooms made me feel like I was in a fairytale castle. Plus, the windows offered a beautiful view of the greenery outside.

Spacious and elegant suite with all the facilities of a 4-star hotel. Great location in the city center, close to ski slopes and the river. Tasty food at the restaurant, with a good variety for breakfast. the spa was a good addition and the rooms were quite big, providing everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Furniture could use an upgrade and some doors were hanging and in need of repair. the restaurant had a lackluster ambiance and the food quality didn't meet expectations for a 4-star establishment.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful mountainous location surrounded by a park. The apartment in which we stayed was spacious and well decorated. we enjoyed the included spa and sauna package.

The only indoor eating area was located in the basement, which was not as nice as a brighter breakfast room. the WiFi was unreliable and the noise level in the room was high.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving experience at this hotel. the staff was amazing and welcoming, we even received complementary cookies and cider upon arrival. the location was perfect, situated in the heart of the city near numerous attractions. Our room was clean and cozy, with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. the breakfast was a real treat, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from.

The hotel had a strong cigarette smoke smell that made it difficult to avoid. Although there was a designated non-smoking area in the restaurant, it was in the same room with the smoking section.

The food at Carol restaurant was simply outstanding. I had the most delicious traditional meals that were bursting with flavor. The staff in the restaurant were attentive and made the dining experience even more enjoyable. In addition, the location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. It was just a short 5-minute walk to the ski slopes, making it convenient for me to enjoy a day on the slopes without any hassle. The room I stayed in was comfortable and had everything I needed, including robes and slippers. The daily cleaning service ensured that the room was always tidy and welcoming. I must mention the spa facilities as well, which were a blissful addition to my stay. I indulged in the two saunas, jacuzzi, and saline, and felt completely relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. The pricing for these facilities was also reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise. my stay at Hotel Carol was fantastic. The food, location, room, and spa facilities exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

We had a wonderful stay at Carol - in Vatra Dornei. The hotel has a charming old-time atmosphere with its castle-like exterior and cozy, high-ceilinged rooms. The shower had strong pressure and provided both very hot and very cold water. The restaurant in the cellar had a varied menu, including delicious traditional Romanian options like sauteed mushrooms with polenta. The surrounding area was beautiful, with a pleasant park and a calm, relaxed vibe. Despite being a small town, there were good supermarkets nearby. The staff at the restaurant and reception were kind and attentive. The whole experience was delightful, from the comfortable bed to the warm room and the lovely architectural design of the building. Not to mention, the vintage phone was a cute touch.
